Questions people actually ask.
Is EraseIMG really free?
Yes. There's no paywall, no watermark, and no signup — every feature on this page, including batch processing, background colors, and the photo edit sliders, is free to use.
Do you store my photos anywhere?
No. Every photo is processed locally, inside your own browser, using an AI model that runs on your device. Your original photo and the resulting cutout are never uploaded to or stored on any server — closing the tab discards everything.
What image formats and sizes are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WEBP, up to 12MB per photo. Every download is automatically compressed to stay under 100KB, regardless of the format or background you choose.
How many photos can I process at once?
Drop in a single photo for a detailed before/after comparison, or up to 100 at once for batch processing. Batches run one image at a time to keep your browser responsive, so a full 100-photo batch will take real time rather than being instant — that's expected, not a bug.
Does the blemish smoothing tool actually remove blemishes?
It applies a gentle skin-smoothing effect across the photo — the kind of quick soft-focus touch-up most photo apps ship with. It doesn't do targeted, spot-by-spot blemish removal, which would require face-detection technology; we'd rather say that plainly than oversell it.
Will it work well on product photos, not just portraits?
The underlying model is tuned for portraits and people, so faces and single subjects against plain backgrounds get the cleanest edges. It will still process product shots and other objects, but expect softer detail around fine edges like hair, glass, or wire-thin objects.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes — the whole tool is built to work on mobile browsers, including drag-and-drop-style photo selection, the background and edit controls, and batch downloads.
Why did the first photo take longer than the rest?
The first time you use the tool in a browser, it downloads the AI model itself (a one-time download, typically 10–30 seconds). Your browser caches it after that, so every photo afterward — this session and future visits — processes much faster.
