Privacy policy

Last updated — July 2026

The short version: your photos never leave your device. Here's the longer, more precise version.

Your images

EraseIMG processes every photo locally, inside your own browser. The background-removal model runs on your device using WebAssembly — your original photo and the resulting cutout are never uploaded to, or stored on, any server we operate. When you close the tab or click "try another image," that data is gone.

What does leave your device

Your photos never leave your device — but a few other things do, listed here in full:

Contact form data

Messages sent through the Contact page are stored so we can respond to you and to keep a record of support requests. We don't sell, rent, or share this information with third parties, and we don't use it for marketing unless you separately opt in to something in the future. You can request that we delete a message you've sent by emailing us.

Advertising and cookies

This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and to measure ad performance. Depending on your location, you may see either personalized or non-personalized ads.

You can control or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings, or learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also manage or block cookies generally through your browser's settings, though doing so may affect how ads (and some other websites) display for you.

Third parties

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the AI model is loaded from a CDN as described above. If ads are enabled, Google AdSense and its partner network are also involved, as described above. Each of these providers may log standard request data (like IP address) under their own respective privacy policies, which we don't control.

Children's privacy

This tool isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and the Contact form should only be used by visitors old enough to enter into correspondence on their own behalf.

Changes to this policy

If how this tool works changes — for instance, if a future version adds optional cloud processing or an account system — this page will be updated first, with a new "last updated" date above.

A note on this document

This policy describes the tool's actual technical behavior as accurately as we can. It isn't a substitute for legal advice; if you're deploying this as part of a business, it's worth having someone qualified review it for your specific situation and jurisdiction.
